Dreams are one of God communication channel that God uses to inform His children about their current situation, confront their sin, comfort those who are troubled or inform His children of things that He will be doing in the future.
Since young, I always dream dreams. Hence, nowadays New Age are rising to mislead people by misinterpreting the meaning of dreams and mislead the lost to another direction when God is trying to attract His people’s attention to seek Him for dreams He gave to His people.
Dreams are a supernatural gift from God, God is a very creative God. He might used storytelling skills to communicate with you, or using dreams to point out an issue that might not be pleasing to His sight. In whatever ways, its His way as a good Father to help His children grow strong and leave the past that had immune the strength or a calling in your life that He created in Us.
The world of Dreams is too Vast to be explain from a single perspective. I, myself had encountered and received many supernatural dreams from God.
A testimony I could share here.
In the early days when I was growing in my gift of prophecy and intercession. I received a dream from God.
The dream started with me on a small island, alone. In the beginning, there were dolphins, sea turtles, whales all came to the shore to play with me. All a sudden, there was an earthquake, that scared all the tame animals, and they swam back to their habitat and out came the ferocious sea creatures such as shark, alligators and killer whales. They also wanted to draw close to me. However, it frighten me, but then a voice came from Heaven. “Do not fear these wild animals.” I replied: “How is it possible that the tame and wild animals could exist all together at the same beach and inhabit on the same sea?” The voice replied: “It is possible to tame the wild animals and let them stay around with the tame animals of the sea.” Then the dream ended.
The next morning, this dream remained vivid in my memory, so I wrote it down on my journal, hence, the content of the dream burnt in my heart as if I had to share it with a specific person, but I did not know who. So i went into intense prayer until 2 weeks later. The Holy Spirit told me who that specific message it was for.
Apparently, the dream was for a Caucasian Christian brother who just accepted Christ, and wanted to bring some of his party-goer friends to church. However, he was concerned that their behaviour would bring us discomfort. When I told him of the dream I had and the message of God to him, his face brights up and he brought his friends to join our lifegroup.
I have seen and heard of New Age people interpret dreams, but the way they interpret dreams are always about the individual inner-self. They would usually start with “I think, your inner energy is trying to tell you this….”,” I sense your conscious is troubled by…..”
When it comes to dream interpretation, God will always links it back to himself, trying to tell His children about something that might concern not only an individual inner being, it might be something like work, the dreamer’s family, the dreamer’s calling…and etc.
The thing that ticks me off is when interpreter of dreams misguide the people away from God. If those who had a dream, I would like to encourage you to seek God to reveal His message to you, or seek christian’s who knows how to interpret or intercede on behalf of the dreamers. God will certainly be delight to share with you the purpose He gave you the dreams He had given.
